Circulating commemorative 1 Peso banknote issued by Banco Central de Cuba in 2003 for the 150th anniversary of the birth of José Martí. The obverse shows Martí with a manuscript sheet, quill, and rose; the reverse depicts his birthplace in Havana. The note has series GC-12, serial 697111, and a Célia Sánchez Manduley watermark identified on the PMG holder. Numista records a 150 × 70 mm paper format and printing by Impresos de Seguridad in Havana. PMG identifies Pick 125 and grades the note Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
The PMG holder assigns Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. No tears, holes, or prominent stains are apparent in the photographs. Direct inspection of the paper, edges, and surface is limited by the holder and reflections.
