Understanding a collectible listing

A guide to the facts, photographs, condition, provenance, and availability shown for an exact piece.

Last reviewed:

The exact piece

Every sellable Mintiax listing has a quantity of one. Product photographs show the exact collectible represented by the listing, not a stock image. Use the gallery and zoom controls to review the available views.

Listing facts

A listing can include type, country, date, denomination, catalog references, physical attributes, public provenance, an authenticity basis, and certification details. A field is omitted when Mintiax does not have customer-safe authoritative information to publish.

  • Condition describes the recorded physical state and observed defects of the exact piece.
  • Public provenance is separate from private acquisition information and may not be available for every piece.
  • Catalog references identify external numbering systems; they are not a price or investment forecast.

Availability and language

Availability is shown from the catalog's current record. Because each item is unique, another customer action may change that status. On Spanish routes, a notice appears when authoritative catalog copy is available only in English; Mintiax does not invent a translation of product facts.
