This Cuban 3 Pesos specimen banknote is dated 1988 and is identified by PMG as Pick 107bs2, part of the 1988-1989 issue of the Banco Nacional de Cuba. Printed primarily in red over a multicolored underprint, the obverse features a portrait of Ernesto "Che" Guevara centered within an oval, with his name below, "BANCO NACIONAL DE CUBA" at the top, and the denomination "TRES PESOS" written in words on the left. The reverse depicts Guevara harvesting sugar cane, with "REPÚBLICA DE CUBA" at the top, the denomination displayed in both numerals and words on the sides, and the inscription "CHE - PROPULSOR DEL TRABAJO VOLUNTARIO." The photographs confirm that this specimen bears two blue "MUESTRA" overprints on the obverse and two on the reverse. The PMG holder records S/N CDOO 000000 000747 and certifies the note as Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ (Exceptional Paper Quality), certification number 2453112-030.
